I had a lot of fun doing this series of portraits. I had less photo gear (camera and onboard flash only) which simplified things.
I really like the black background look!
The lighting is somewhat tricky but worth it. I love the hair light too. It just brings out even more sparkle to the image.
I was blessed to have the chance to shoot such a beautiful model- Victoria Givlin. She was such a natural in front of the camera.
There is so much involved in getting a good portrait. Lighting and equipment and finding poses to make the subject shine.
I was asked to do a portrait on a black background as it gives a dramatic feel.
I have been working on portraits this year. This one was done impromptu. I used a soft box to achieve the correct lighting. This young man just got his "iron ring" - on his way to becoming a professional engineer.
